All the products we sell are backed by the manufacturers warranty service. Any goods for possible warranty replacement must be returned to Giant Wellington with proof of purchase for warranty assessment and inspection. Before returning the goods, please telephone our customer service line 04 499 9193, so that you may be given a returns number, to attach to the goods. This ensures that your warranty will be speedily dealt with. Items covered under manufacturers warranty will be repaired or replaced. Shipping and labour costs are not covered under any warranty.
1.1 Please note that certain products need to be returned to our suppliers, for inspection and possible repair, before a credit can be issued.
1.2 Goods are subject to the manufacturers' warranties. We will pass on the benefit of those warranties to you, without being directly liable to you under any warranty.
1.3 Where goods are subject to warranty, you are responsible for returning them to us or the manufacturer (as provided by the warranty) and you may be responsible for additional costs including (but not limited to) freight.
1.4 Any warranty may be voided by damage to or misuse of the product, or problems caused by inadequate packaging or storage.
1.5 For health and safety reasons we request all used clothing to be washed prior to returning back to us. Failure to do this will result in us having to send them back to you, as we will be unable to inspect these goods.
1.6 Generally proof of purchase is required. We may waive this requirement, in consultation with you, if we can confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s).
Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act
The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Giant Wellington. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Products (excluding bikes) can be returned within 7 days of receipt for a refund at the original price less a 15% restocking fee and freight, or send you an exchange, provided that the following conditions are met:
The product must be in an unused, unopened condition with no damage (eg. scratches and marks).
All paperwork and labels must still be intact.
Items being returned for exchanges will incur freight charges and the restocking fee of 15%.
We cannot refund shipping or labour costs.
Please note we will not accept returns for any non-faulty item that has been used, and/or had tags removed. We strongly advise all customers to check goods thoroughly upon delivery before removing any attached tags.
Giant Wellington does not accept returns due to normal wear and tear on used items.
There is no return or exchange on sale items or ANY BICYCLE
2.1 Wrong Sizes/not the right part
2.1.1 Please make sure you contact us first on 04 499 9193 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you ordered clothing or footwear is the wrong size please send it back to us within seven days of receipt with a completed returns form and we'll happily exchange it for another one in the correct size (if available) or another product of the same value. If you ordered a part for your bicycle without consultation from us, and it is not suitable then there is no return for this item.
2.1.3 The cost of getting the goods back to us is yours but we will cover the cost of freighting any replacement back to you, within New Zealand. We recommend you use recorded delivery or registered post to return items so as to cover yourself against loss.
2.1.4 Generally proof of purchase is required. We may waive this requirement, in consultation with you, if we can confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s).
2.1.5 Please note, products returned or exchanged must be in a resalable condition with packaging intact and all labels returned with the item(s).
2.1.6 In the event of an exchange, items are subject to product availability.
2.1.7 Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received (within seven days) and undergone a quality control check.
2.1.8 If we receive your return in a condition which we feel is not fit for exchange or refund we shall get in touch with you to discuss next steps. Giant Wellington reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged.
Errors & Damage
We try to ensure that all information on our site is correct, however human error happens from time to time. In the event of a mistake, we apologise. If you notice a mistake, please do advise us of any errors.
If you suspect your product has been damaged during delivery please do not throw away any of the parcel or cover in which the product arrived in as our Courier supplier will need to inspect it. Please contact us and we will organise the return of the product for inspection and will do our best to sort the problem.

Purchasing A Bike Online
All Giant Bikes are available for purchase online, but must be picked up from an approved store. Due to regulations, bikes must be assembled by a qualified bike mechanic in an approved store this is an international policy.

Stock Availability & Pricing
All products are subject to availability as we DO NOT stock all items in store. We will always try contact you regarding unexpected delays or product changes and unavailable items. Some items may take 2-3 days to source and therefore delivery to you will be a few days later.
Prices on our web site are subject to change without prior notice. We will contact you regarding price changes at the time of order. Instore pricing will vary to advertised web pricing.
Orders are normally processed Monday - Friday, so may take a day or so to be processed if placed on the weekend.
Orders are checked for availability of products, and then processed to save the hassle of refunds if a product is unavailable we will contact you as soon as we no.
Once the order is processed and payment has been taken you will be emailed an Invoice.
If products are not available from instore they will be order in from our suppliers (our orders are normally sent on a Monday).
If we have the products instore they will get shipped as soon as payment is processed.
Once the items are packaged and ready to be picked up by courier we will email you a Track and Track number.
If its URGENT let us no ahead of time, or in the order comments and we will do our best to get your order out in time or let you no if we are unable to meet the deadline.
Shipping & Pick Up Instore
In most cases, unless otherwise requested, orders will be shipped as soon as the product is sourced, if they are not already instore. If you have selected PICK UP INSTORE we will ring or email when the products are ready for you to COLLECT. Time for collection and Shipment may vary depending if the products are needed to be sourced from off site warehouses we will do our best to get items shipped out as soon as possible (normally anywhere between 2-10 working days). If you are worried about a delay please feel free to email or call about it.
In most cases, unless otherwise requested, orders will be shipped via courier service. We do not ship internationally.
Free Shipping for orders over $99. *this excludes bulky items & rural deliveries. Items classified as bulky items or a rural delivery do occur a fee, as specified in the shipping section at checkout.
Refusing or Cancellation of Order
Once an order is received it cannot be cancelled as stock items will be ordered for made ready for shipment. A cancellation maybe accepted and a restocking fee of 15% will be charged, due to stock being ordered or made available for processing order. If a bike is ordered then there may also be extra freight charges, as there is normally extra charges incurred from the supplier to cancel an order. If the shipment of goods has been made then no cancellation will be accepted.
When you shop online at Giant Wellington you will be able to shop in confidence that your details are safe. all credit card payments are processed on a secure page using the latest payment security systems. We will not sell or disclose your email address to third parties. However we might email you occasionally to inform you of new products and specials instore and online. If for any reason you no longer want to receive these emails, please inform us and we will remove you from our mailing list.
